By Robert Jamison, Staff Writer — Millions of youth in America experience homelessness every year. Shockingly, one of the number one things they asked for is jeans.
Student council is hosting a program called Teens for Jeans. This gives the students the opportunity to donate old jeans or jeans that do not fit anymore to the homeless youth in our community.
The students can donate the jeans to their 5B teacher until the deadline of February 26. The class who donates the most jeans gets the delicious reward of juice and donuts.
Student councils members said it was a fun, easy, and beneficial project.
“As students we are able to help and improve the lives of teenagers in our community by simply donating jeans,” senior Hannah Watson said.
Watson found this campaign on dosomething.org and decided to get our school involved because every pair of jeans makes a difference in someones life.
There is not much time left, make a difference and donate today.
