Giovanni Contrucci (Joseph’s Brothers/Chorus)

What role do you play? “I feel like I play a villain-ish role. My character has his own part for only 2-3 minutes, and doesn’t have a lot of lines to him, but he still has a big part in the whole story that paints out.”

What would you tell anyone about joining a musical in the future? “It is the biggest accomplishment you can ever do, whether it’s a small role or a big role. Last year the musical was The Little Mermaid, and I wanted to be Sebastian. I got three roles, and although I was bummed out I didn’t get a bigger role I was happy I got in.”

What has been your favorite memory in the musical? “Since I’m a sophomore, me and a bunch of new people were influenced by the seniors. When I was a freshman a lot of my drifters and notables friends are now in the musical and they played a big role for me because they’re older and more experienced. So now I use what they did and try to copy it for myself.”
