Students display work in annual art show

Inspired by the piece Girl with Death Mask done by the famous Frida Kahlo, senior Annabella Lattavo created this work titled Temporary Shelter. “This colored pencil illustration represents extreme poverty through the juxtaposition of my younger brother as a model,” Lattavo said. The figure’s face is covered with cellophane, meant to serve as a device to help the audience to reflect on themselves and their lives.

GlenOak’s 22nd annual art show was held on April 6. All art classes, from Art Survey to IB Art, were required to submit at least one piece to be put on display. This event is the highlight of a  GlenOak artist’s career, as it allows them to showcase their hard work. Here are some artworks from this year’s show.
