Bojangles: Another chicken competitor

A chicken restaurant opens an establishment in Belden Village. This is a review of it.
Bojangles: Another chicken competitor
Bojangles might have food that can even compete with Raising Canes & Chick-Fil-A.

There’s no shortage of fast food places in Belden Village, especially chicken places, but there’s a new one that might steal the spotlight: Bojangles.

Bojangles, located at 4551 Everhard Rd NW in Canton, is a new chicken place that opened on Sept. 5, and it has amazing chicken, which is the star of the restaurant. Bojangles doesn’t only sell chicken, but also desserts, and sides.

Chicken Strips:
Chicken Strips:

The chicken strips are amazing. They’re crunchy, they have a bit of a spicy kick to them, and they’re filling. Way better than R.C. 9/10

Mac & Cheese:
Mac & Cheese:

Tastes great, and it has a great creamy texture. Like a lot of basic mac & cheese recipes, but it’s still good. 8/10

Coleslaw:
Coleslaw:

The taste is very bland, and while it may have a nice texture, it’s not really anything worth buying. 3/10

Fries
Fries

The fries are surprising, they have a salty and savory outside, with a nice pillow like inside, and are always warm. There’s a pretty nice quantity in every bag too. 8/10

Dirty rice:
Dirty rice:

The dirty rice was smooth and had a little bit of kick to it, but it was bland. While there was some taste present, it’s not too flavourful. 5/10

Biscuit:
Biscuit:

Kind of dry, but still has a good texture and taste. Better than KFC. 7/10

Chicken sandwich:
Chicken sandwich:

The chicken sandwich was amazing. Crispy, crunchy, has a bit of a spicy kick to it, a very filling sandwich. Better than R.C. & Chick-Fil-A. 10/10

Chicken biscuit:
Chicken biscuit:

It’s kind of dry, chicken has an amazing taste, a little salty and has a small spicy kick to it. Not as good as the chicken sandwich, but close. 8/10

Bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit:
Bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit:

This is a filling, tasty breakfast. Nice warm egg, crispy bacon, and cheese. Nice taste, and filling. 8/10

Steak Biscuit:
Steak Biscuit:

This tastes different, but still tastes good. Steak compliments the biscuit. Not too much to say with this item. 6/10

Biscuits and gravy:
Biscuits and gravy:

Kind of bland, the biscuit was nice, but the gravy was flavorless. Decent breakfast item. 5/10

Chocolate shake:
Chocolate shake:

The chocolate shake was good, very rich and creamy. The chocolate taste doesn’t overpower it, and it tastes better the more you drink it. 7/10

Sweet tea:
Sweet tea:

The tea is refreshing, sweet, and makes you think of the summer. 8/10

Bo-Berry biscuit:
Bo-Berry biscuit:

Biscuit with blueberries infused. Good dessert or breakfast item. Sweet, moist, and tastes great. 8/10

Peach cobbler:
Peach cobbler:

The peach cobbler was more-less disappointing. Not too sweet, doesn’t taste like normal peach cobbler. Weird biscuit like bread at the bottom, doesn’t taste the best either. 4/10

Final thoughts

With all that, I rate the entirety of Bojangles at a solid 8/10. Definitely better than Raising Canes in all ways except the bread. Beats Chick-Fil-A except for the nuggets. Bojangles is an exceptional fast food place, with lots of options, and something almost everyone will like.
