Student Council elections are coming up. Who is running?
I’ve been with student council all of high school. I’ve been an officer all three years. I’ve seen the program go through a multitude of changes including a new advisor and yet it continues to be an amazing program that helps provide spirit to the student body.
People don’t realize the amount of work that goes behind the scenes to plan things like dances. And so as executive president, I want to give back to this awesome program and help bring some spirit to GlenOak.
I wanted to help better our community and make sure everyone’s voices are heard and I want to help spread the word about student council so we can have more voices to better our community
I decided to run for executive communications officer because I want to be involved in the student body. I’m hoping to be able to help create more opportunities for the student body to get involved in.
I’ve been in student council since freshman year and have always enjoyed the service and community aspect of it. It allows us to make a positive impact in our school.
I want to be able to make a palpable change around the school, for both the students and teacher, which is why I decided to run for the executive student council board.
I decided to run because I’ve always enjoyed being part of student council, and want more involvement within the student council. My main focus for student council next year is to hear all opinions, and listen to the voices of everyone.
I’ve always been interested in student advocacy and that’s what has pushed me to run in Student Council elections for President. My main concern going into the next year is going to be the lack of concern when it comes to student advocacy issues.
I want to make a difference at GlenOak.
The reason I decided to run is because I think I can offer a unique perspective. I’m in GlenOak social justice, Stark County Youth Leadership Academy and Speech and Debate. My main goals are to create a more equitable space and offer diverse space.
Student council has helped me develop leadership, problem solving, and communication skills. It gives me the opportunity to contribute to my school and community.
I want to do student council so that I can have a chance to put a say into play for what the students want!
I chose to run for student council vice president because I want to help represent the entire student body, I believe in “all for one & one for all” so if everyone would help me by voting for me I would love to help with all of their concerns around the school. I will do this by encouraging my classmates to reach out to me with their questions and concerns and I will represent them during the “Good of the School” section of our meeting. If we can’t find a solution I will help the student by giving them information on where to voice their concern. My focus is our entire student body, I want to better support them in any way possible.
I wanted to run this year because I had been an officer my freshman year, but took a break this year from applying for any officer positions and I missed it. I wanted to be more involved in the good of the school and making a difference by representing the student body. I chose to run for secretary because I believe that my organization and critical thinking skills fit best with this role.
I decided to run this year because I love being involved in student council. I also ran last year and had a lot of fun! My focus is making sure we all communicate well and do the best we can for the school.
I wanted to take on a role of leadership so I can help out my peers and my graduating class a little extra. I focus on trying to make decisions that work well for the being of my graduating class and making it a better environment.
I love GlenOak and the class of ‘27! I want to work with and for my class to make a difference for our student body. I think we have a lot going for our class and I am hopeful to be the voice to help us become even stronger together. I want to better our school for students enrolled right now, and for students to come.
I would love to be VP because I enjoy problem solving and finding ways to make things run more efficiently! Being VP of my class this year has helped me understand how Student Council is run and how change can happen which I think will help me better represent the class of 2027.
I wanted to run because I think that I can make people’s voices heard and get opinions out, help make people say what they want. One thing I’d like to focus on is I think we need lower sports ticket prices. We would have more people come to games. Compared to other schools, our volleyball games don’t have many fans.
I decided to run because I want to be involved with GlenOak, help others, and be a part of the team. My main focus will be providing leadership and helping in as many ways as possible.
I chose to run for StuCo because I want to help make changes to our school that will help others and keep people on the path to success. Helping people has always been a priority of mine and being able to do it as a “club” is something that means a lot to me.
